Why Fresh?

Lefty's is committed to something which we feel is all too rare in the casual restaurant scene: fresh ingredients. We want our guests to feel good about their food choices knowing we are providing the freshest ingredients possible. Although we know that it is often more profitable to use prepared products with shelf lives extended by chemical preservatives, excessive processing, or irradiation, we challenge ourselves to return to the fundamentals of quality food preparation while offering an exciting and varied menu.

Instead of having a deep fryer, we have developed our own signature Southpawtatoes which are oven roasted in our own special seasonings and served as an accompaniment to several menu items including our burgers, which are also made to our high standards. All of our dessert baking is done from scratch. When it isn't possible for us to make our own products we choose the freshest local suppliers. Our 'Lefty's Choice' coffee is left handedly roasted in small batches by Karma Coffee using only the finest organically grown beans. 'Robust but not bitter!', you can buy it in many Island grocery stores.
